While DHL no longer processes domestic shipments within the United States, you can still rely on their express courier services for your cross-border needs.
Here are the different DHL locations, including where to find DHL drop-off locations, that are available within the US, the types of services they offer, and how to find them. Â
Types of DHL Locations
1. DHL Authorized Shipping Centers
The easiest way to find a DHL location near you is to visit a DHL Authorized Shipping Center. Some centers are independently owned and operated retail businesses, while others are UPS Stores. (UPS has a partnership agreement with DHL to partially handle international shipments originating from the US.)
The personnel at these centers are not DHL employees, but they can help you prepare your DHL international shipment and accept DHL drop-offs.
Note that shipments containing hazardous materials will not be accepted at these locations. For more information, visit our blog post on DHL shipping restrictions.
2. DHL Staffed Facilities
DHL staffed facilities are the closest thing you’ll find to a branded DHL store in the US. These locations are not as common as authorized shipping centers; in major cities, it’s not unusual to only see a handful of these available.
Still, these locations offer the following express delivery services:
- DHL Express Worldwide
- DHL Express 12:00
- DHL Express 9:00
You can also get free DHL branded air express shipping supplies at these locations.
3. DHL Drop Boxes
Drop boxes are convenient DHL drop-off locations for express documents and small packages. Pickups happen every weekday, and you can even access free shipping supplies.
Note that package dimensions larger than 18” x 13” x 4” must be dropped off at an authorized shipping center or staffed facility, and hazardous materials cannot be left here.
How to Find DHL Locations Near You
