Le marché français du e-commerce a connu une croissance spectaculaire ces dernières années, mais si on le compare à d’autres marchés, il devrait croître plus rapidement. En y regardant de plus près, on se rend compte que si de nombreux consommateurs français continuent à dépenser leur argent dans des magasins physiques, c’est surtout à cause des problèmes d’expédition !

Nous avons pensé que la fête nationale était le bon moment pour présenter une partie de nos projets pour le marché français, ainsi que les grands investissements que nous avons réalisés afin de construire une expérience d’expédition satisfaisante pour les e-commerçants et les consommateurs.

Comment nous sommes devenus plus français

Cela fait déjà un moment que la plateforme Easyship est accessible aux e-commerçants français. Jusqu’à récemment, l’expérience des utilisateurs français n’était pas optimale. Avec deux de nos fondateurs de nationalité française, nous nous sommes toujours considérés un peu français, même si la plupart des Français nous contrediraient à juste titre.

Notre plateforme est désormais disponible en français

Easyship a toujours été une entreprise très internationale. Présents dans 7 pays, avec des employés issus de 23 pays différents et parlant 17 langues, nous avons toujours privilégié la communication en anglais avec nos utilisateurs. Mais nous sommes fiers d’annoncer que cela est révolu.

Au cours des derniers mois, nous avons traduit l’intégralité de notre application web en français, tout comme de nombreux documents éducatifs et d’assistance. Il nous reste beaucoup de travail à accomplir (et quelques améliorations à réaliser), mais voir un francophone se connecter à notre application et être capable de la comprendre et l’utiliser facilement est un pas important pour devenir une entreprise vraiment mondiale.

Apporter de la valeur avec des transporteurs français partenaires

Être capable de créer un partenariat avec des transporteurs locaux est fondamental si nous souhaitons apporter cette valeur ajoutée. Nous sommes très fiers d’avoir établi ces derniers mois des partenariats avec les principaux transporteurs du marché français, notamment Colis Privé, Chronopost et Mondial Relay.

Tous ces formidables transporteurs nous permettent d’offrir des tarifs d’expédition très abordables pour une longue liste de destinations !

Et ensuite ?

Il nous reste encore beaucoup à accomplir. Nous ne sommes qu’au début de notre voyage vers une expérience vraiment localisée sur le marché international, et notre route est encore longue. Voici ce à quoi vous pouvez vous attendre au cours des prochains mois.

Des remises encore plus importantes sur les expéditions

En raison de la hausse de nos volumes et du renforcement des partenariats avec nos transporteurs, nous avons été capables d’obtenir des tarifs d’expédition encore plus bas. Et le meilleur dans tout cela, c’est que nos utilisateurs peuvent profiter de ces économies directement ! Jamais nos concurrents n’ont offert de meilleurs tarifs. Notre objectif principal est d’être un leader des prix qui aide les e-commerçants français à faire des économies sur leurs factures d’envoi de colis, mais aussi qui leur permet d’accéder à des marchés dont les prix étaient jusque-là prohibitifs.

Des fonctionnalités pour répondre aux besoins des consommateurs français

Les attentes des consommateurs varient en fonction des marchés, et la France ne fait pas exception à la règle. Notre stratégie produit pour les trimestres à venir implique un bon nombre de caractéristiques et de services qui offriront aux acheteurs et vendeurs français l’expérience d’expédition qu’ils ont toujours désirée.

Rendre Easyship encore plus « française »

Nous prévoyons d’augmenter nos investissements de localisation afin d’être capables d’offrir une expérience totalement « française » à nos utilisateurs. Cela inclura une documentation complète et un service clientèle francophone, en plus d’une équipe francophone chargée de la réussite des clients.

Mais ce qui nous enthousiasme réellement, c’est de pouvoir partager notre bibliothèque de contenus de renommée mondiale avec la communauté francophone du e-commerce. Nous avons passé des années à aider le commerce en ligne à comprendre le paysage de l’expédition et de la logistique pour encourager sa croissance. Maintenant que nous avons traduit et localisé ces contenus pour le marché français, nous sommes impatients de connaître le retour des entreprises qui ont été capables de faire grandir leur activité grâce à nos ressources d’expédition.

Même si nous ne sommes qu’au début de notre aventure de localisation, nous sommes très enthousiastes quant à ce qui nous attend. Depuis le premier jour, notre but est de permettre aux e-commerçants de tous les pays de vendre partout dans le monde. Liberating eCommerce merchants in France

The French eCommerce market has been growing dramatically in the last few years, but when you compare it to some other markets, it should be growing faster. When we take a closer look at the French eCommerce market, we believe the main driver for many consumers continuing to spend their hard earned money in physical retail stores is bad shipping!

This ‘Fête nationale française’, we thought it was a good time to share a little bit about our plans for the French market, and how we’ve been investing heavily in building a shipping experience that French merchants and consumers love.

How we’ve been becoming more French

The Easyship platform has been accessible to French merchants for quite some time now. Up until recently though, the experience for French users wasn’t optimal. With two of our founders being French nationals, we always considered ourselves somewhat French, but most Frenchman would rightly disagree.

Translation into French

Easyship has always been a very international company. With offices in 7 countries, employees from 23 different countries and over 17 languages spoken, when it comes to communications with users, we’ve always been very ‘English first’. We’re proud to say this is no longer the case.

In the past several months, we have translated all of our web application into French in addition to many support and education materials.We’ve still got a lot more to do (and some improvements to make), but having a native French speaker login to our app and be able to understand and use it easily is an important first step in becoming a truly global company.

Bringing value with French courier partners

Easyship’s key value proposition is being a turnkey solution from which merchants can gain access to heavily discounted courier rates.

Being able to partner with local courier partners is critical for us to be able to deliver that value. In the last few months, we have been very proud to launch courier partnerships with top couriers in the French market including Colis Privé, Chronopost and Mondial Relay.

All of these great couriers allow us to offer heavily discounted shipping rates to a wide range of destinations!

What comes next?

Rest assured we are far from being done. We see this as just the beginning of our journey of offering a truly localized experience for global markets, and we’ve still got a long way to go. Here is what you can expect to see in the coming months.

Even larger shipping discounts

As our volume increases and the relationship with our courier partners becomes stronger, ultimately we’re able to obtain even lower shipping rates. The best part is, we pass those savings on directly to our users! We are never beaten on price compared to our competitors, but what we’re most looking forward to is being a price leader that can help French merchants save money on their shipping bill, but also allow them to ship to markets which may have previously been cost prohibitive.

Features built to meet the needs of French consumers

Consumer expectations in all markets vary somewhat, and France is no different. Our product roadmap for the coming quarters contains a lot of features and services which will give both buyers and sellers in France the shipping experience they had always dreamed about.

Making Easyship even more ‘French’

We plan to increase our localization investment in order to be able to offer a fully ‘French’ experience to our users. This will include comprehensive documentation materials, French speaking customer support agents in addition to a French speaking customer success team.

What we’re especially excited about though is being able to share our world famous content library with the French speaking eCommerce community. We’ve spent years helping online businesses understand the shipping and logistics landscape in order to help them grow their business, and by translating and localizing this content for a French market, we’re excited to hear from French businesses who were able to grow their business with the help of our shipping resources.

Even though we’re quite early in our localization journey, we’re excited about what is ahead of us. Our vision from day one has been to allow merchants in any country to be able to sell anywhere in the world. Entering into a non-English speaking market and being able to resonate is a critical step to achieving this vision.
